Hows about a cuppa joe

My close friend sham is a walking talking sitcom. Apparent by his recent trip to beijing, china, he recounted a few of his many incidents while he was there. There was one that is still memorable and still tickle my funny bones was his story with the barista in a Starbucks at the airport.

Encountering too many difficulties with the locals, language-wise he can't speak mandarin to save his life even though the wanker is a cibai (as explained in my previous post) so he used english at a bare minimum. He ordered a cuppa coffee and a sandwich and when he got them the sandwich wasn't hot anymore. Off he went to the counter with the plate of sandwich.

At the counter he called the barista, held up that plate with his left hand, tapping the sandwich with his right and said "hot". The barista took the plate from him touched, yes he actually touched the sandwich with his hand and with an incredulous stare at my friend saying " no...cold" giving back the plate to him. Again hoping against hope that the barista would understand the second time around what he wanted, he repeated the same action giving a reason to the barista to have this look on his face wondering whether the idiot in front of him is a retard or what and is he for real. And surprise surprise, he got the same response from the barista which is in the negative with an emphasive on the its cold you moron(minus the moron off course).

Giving up, he decided to switch to sign language. Pointed to the barista with his index finger then to his plate of sandwich and then he pointed to the microwave. He then made the action of putting the plate into the microwave closed the imaginary door, did the "tit-tit-tit" sound as he is punching the timer, followed by making a "whrrrrrr" sound while twirling his index finger in a circular motion and finishing it all off with a loud "Ting!!!". To which the barista then said "Oh you mean reheat?"

Wish i was there to see his face when that happened. Solid gold.

My karma ran over ur dogma

taken from sailor z flickr page shhh dont tell her :pWell the good news is i dont have dengue, at least i think i dont. Didnt feel the need to go to a doctor again today as i was fever free the whole day. Today was spent sleeping my ass off and watching tv.

When i was awake at dinner time msged sham and asked him for a round of gaming in rasta, told him to set it up. Missed playing puerto rico, nah miss the company actually.

Didnt get to spend time with em after the movie "the awesomeness that is the dark knight" yesterday at some arabic restaurant in changkat bukit bintang. I had to go home straight as i felt feverishly tired.

I was mr sniffles at the table and a lil cough now and again. Was sweating profusely even though its not that hot. Cold sweat i guess. But at the end of it all, mission acomplished hehe got arai sniffling as well. Got to spread the love (or the disease...sharing is caring right?)

Back at home since i been sleeping alot the whole day, not really that sleepy and as the illustration above im back to swallowing my own snot yet again. And i thought the darned leaking problem is fixed already. Guess good ol' karma at work. What goes around comes around. Here's to you arai...

Sneezing my brains out thru my nose and coughing my lungs out thru my throat

Welcoming the month of august with a possible dengue infection.

Damn!

And i was so looking forward to august. All started with my nose that thinks its a leaky faucet. All the travel back and forth to the bathroom just to blow everything out were in vain cos in mere seconds its dripping all over my hands and clothes. Oozing and dripping down my lips and chin.

Day 1
Usually when i have the flu i'd take clarinase, pop in a pill, rest and sleep a few hours and ur nose'll be dry like the kalahari desert when u wake up. Well at least thats how it works for me. And it did work for a few hours, was dry thruout the day. As i laid down to sleep that nite, its like that leaky faucet drip drip dripping away in the toilet, annoying the heck out of u cos u can hear it. Well suffice to say everytime i breathe in thru my nose that nite, i'll be swallowing my own snot.

Day 2
Cant breathe, cant sleep, when i did eventually go to sleep it was already morning. The sneezing and blowing my nose thruout the day really drained me and taking clarinase doesnt help either. Tried something stronger did knocked me out and it helps for awhile but come nite same thing happened. Cant really sleep when u cant breathe.

Day 3
Guessing the lack of sleep and the amount of phlegm i've collected in my throat, coughing and fever is inevitable. Joints aching and i'd have this headache when i cough too hard, feels like it pulls the side of my forehead. Sleep was lacking again that nite. Wud be awake every half hour, either from a cough, a sneeze and at one time i was shaking even though there wasnt any fan pointing at me.

Day 4
Dad offered to bring me to the clinic, but was feeling ok by morning so i declined. Spend the day either sleeping or watching the tube. Was good and a much needed R&R and i even went to see the awesomeness that is the dark knight on imax theatre at 9pm. But when i drove back just now, had to close the aircon cos the cold is making my joints ache. And later I feel my body getting warmer and i get cold feet. Had to change into thicker and clothing and wear a sock.

Day 5
Its close to 5am in the morning cant sleep, coughing and slurping my snot. Been reading the symptoms of dengue online, well if i dont get well soon i guess i've got to go to the clinic get my blood checked makes sure everything is everything. But keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best

A long constipation

Dusting off the cobwebs on the wall, sweeping the dust under the rug, dusting the windows and wiping the fan off. Getting the board off from the doors and windows. Boarding up some holes in the wall. Some boards and some hammering...some wall fillers, sandpaper and a new coat of paint. Taking out the junks and hanging some new curtains and furnitures.

Making ready for some shit to hit the fan, cos this place is gonna be full of it...
